With your contribution and guidance, Indian Journal of Social Psychiatry is now gaining popularity. This is reflected across various altmetrics like articles seen, articles downloaded and articles cited. We are working on trying to get the Journal PUBMED-indexed.
In our endeavor to increase the dissemination of the work of our authors, we feel that social media platforms can be used as they have a wider reach and are frequently accessed not only by scientists/ researchers but also by policy makers, media personnel and general public.
Nearly all scientific journal and scientific association/ bodies have their presence on social media platforms.
More importantly, use of this medium has insignificant cost implications to the users.
Accordingly, we have currently chosen Twitter (handle @IndJSocialPsy) as the first social media platform for this purpose.
The handle will be managed by myself along with the core Editorial Team.
If you are using Twitter, it is requested to please follow our handle.
We would also like our contributors to inform us of their Twitter handle (firstname.lastname@example.orgOR email@example.com). Alternatively, they can mention at the time of submission of new manuscript (to be mentioned in cover letter).
I sincerely hope that with your contribution, involvement, cooperation, and enthusiasm we shall be able to make IndJSP a visible entity across the scientific world.
